One dress; two ways.
outfit #1: dress thrifed, shoes: store in mall
outfit #2: dress thrifted, vest: thrifted, shoes: target
Same dress, different approaches. I try to never wear the same outfit twice... I know that sounds completely ridiculous but it helps me to always be creative. I'm always looking in my closet to see what new pieces I can pair together. I love being able to mix patterns and textures and come up with new outfits everyday. I got that leather vest a couple years ago, and I have a really hard time wearing it. I feel like I'm a pretty feminine dresser so wearing that I felt edgey. A good edgey though. It's all about trying new things, friends ;)

I love this dress! You are so darling. seriously. I love it with the vest!
ReplyDeleteThis dress is so pretty! I would have never thought of pairing it with a leather vest, but I love it. Edgy.
ReplyDeleteI can totally understand not wearing the same outfit twice! I was so bad about doing that in high school, so when I got to college, I made myself a challenge to never wear the same outfit twice to school in a year. (The next year is fair game if I loved an outfit from the year before, but there are only a few of those outfits.) This forces me to actually wear everything in my closet, instead of always grabbing my favorite pieces, and it forces me to get creative! So glad to find fellow friends who do the same.
Both ways are so cute! I do love your hair in both pictures--how do you make it look so perfect?!

Sometimes I like stepping out of my usual style too! But really, when I think about it, I can't put into stone what my style really is. Hmmm. It's constantly changing, I suppose! I have phases :p By the way, I liked it better without the vest :) Love your blog's layout too!! So sweet :)

I'm so impressed by your wearing of a dress in the snow. I just realized yesterday how I've entirely stopped wearing anything but pants. You've inspired me to find some thick tights :)
