I stalk boys in the library.

Shirt: thrifted $4, Sweater Vest: from my best friend :), Jeans: Ross $9, Shoes: thrifted $4

I spend all of my time in the library.
Not just because I have a butt load of homework, but oddly enough, there is a cute boy that always seems to be there when I'm there.
It's happened four days in a row people.
Is this a sign that I should go up to this boy and tell him I think he's supa cute?
Or maybe I will continue to just stalk him secretly over my child development book.
Yeah, that sounds good.

Homework up the ying yang.

Dress(worn as a skirt): thrifted $4, Sweater: thrifted $5, Lace shirt: thrifted $3, Boots: thrifted $6, Belt: thrifted $1, Tights: forever21
Can I complain for a sec?
K thanks.
On top of having class all day and then devotional,
I just spent three hours in the library doing homework.
I had to come home because our home teachers are stopping by.
I then will be doing probably five more hours of homework.
Then I'll maybe go to bed. Maybe.
I'm just beyond tired.
Yay for college..

Thanks for letting me complain.
You guys are the best :)

What it's really about.

Happy Easter to everyone!
I really thought hard about if I wanted to post an outfit or not today.
I don't want to shove my beliefs down anyone's throat or make anyone feel uncomfortable.
Most of all, I don't want to offend anyone.
But today to me at least, isn't about what I wore.
It's about my Savior Jesus Christ and what He did for me.
If you have a moment, I'd recommend watching this video.
It's truly beautiful.

Sometimes I go MIA.

(this last picture is for my roomie Kylee, thanks for taking my pictures for me today :)
Sweater: thrifted $10, Shirt: thrifted $4, Shoes: $4, Jeans: Ross $9, Headband: made by me

I know it's been a week since I've posted, but don't worry guys, I'm still here.
I just started school again and boy do I love it.

Wanna hear a cool story?
I knew you did.
So, this semester I'm taking a Fashion Merchendise class, let me just say I'm excited.
But anyway today I walk into class and sit down.
Then I sat side ways and I started talking to this girl I met the class before.
Then she goes, "Can I ask you something that's kind of weird?"
I said, "Of course."
She says, "Do you have a blog named thrifted things?"
Guys, I get embarrassed SO easily. My face got bright red and I said, "Yes, yes I do."
She was such cutie and so nice. I feel so special that she actually noticed me and knew who I was. That's the first time anyone has noitced me from my blog.

If anyone else ever recognizes me, please say hi.
I wanna be friends :)

I just really like this skirt I guess, oh and a winner!

Skirt: made by me, Sweater: gift, Shirt: thrifted $3, Boots: thrifted $6, Belt: thrifted $1

Now time for that winner!

Sarah said...
a headband made by you....yes yes I will enter.
Yay your blog is growing so much, that's what happens when you're friggin awesome!

Yes, I wear a skirt when I ride my bike..

Skirt: made by me fabric thrifted $3, Sweater: Rave $20, Tank top: Target(old), Tights: Target $5, Socks: so ridiculously old, I'm talking like 2nd grade status, Shoes: forever21 gift, Belt: thrifted $1, Bike: bought from a family friend $99 ;)

Just so you guys know, I LOVE bike rides.
With a deep passion.
My dream is to have a cute bike with a basket and just ride my bike everywhere I go.

Too bad I had a flat tire today and didn't actually get to ride my bike.
I was all ready to go and then realized that my tire was in dying need of air.
My poor baby has been in the garage since Winter :(

Don't worry, I went on a walk instead with my dad.

But tomorrow, that bike has my name written allllll over it :)

I was featured here today.
Fashionista for Less

If that's not lame...

K, cool :)

You have until April 13th to enter!
And whoever wins, we'll talk about what kind of tie you want me to use.

How mistakes are awesome.

Before Surgery:
 Aftermath:
Dress, now a skirt: thrifted $0.80, Shirt: Old Navy, Tights: Target gift, Shoes: swap meet in AZ $7
Necklace: forever21 $3.80

This skirt wasn't meant to have a zipper or a bow.
They were added to cover up mistakes.
But guess what?
I love this skirt so much more because of those mistakes.
One of my favorite quotes is:
"The person who doesn't make mistakes is unlikely to make anything."
(sorry, don't remember who said it)
I honestly believe in that.
We become who we are by learning from our mistakes and moving forward.
This skirt is now my favorite creation due to me making mistakes.
I'm a beginner seamstress and I'm bound to make many more mistakes, but I'll embrace them and definitely learn from them.

ps; I was featured here the other day.
I'm a bad blogger and forget to mention it.
Thanks for the interview Callie :)
