For Six Bucks.

I had time to do one more outfit post today!
I can't wait for this to be over.
I miss my clothes!
Button down: thrifted $4, Jeans: thrifted $5, Sweater: thrifted $5, Scarf(it's a curtain really): thrifted $1, Belt: thrifted $1, Shoes: Target $20, Headband: made by me

Do you guys remember this dress?
Just a kind of cool side note...
Out of that dress I have made a shorter dress, a necklace, and a headband.
I think that's pretty cool considering the dress was only $6.
But that's just me :)

Family Room.

In time I think you will see every room in my house.
Today, it's the family room.
It was snowing today! Not trying to take pictures outside in that.
Oh, by the way, I'm speeding this up.
I want to be done with this 30/30 and I'm pretty much caught up, I just don't have time to take pictures of my outfits everyday. So for the next couple of days your going to get double time of outfits. Maybe even triple or quadruple. Yup. Fast Forward starts now.
Shirt: forever 21 $13.50, Skirt: made by me, Shoes: Target $20, Tights: Target(little girl section) $2.99
Dress(worn as shirt): thrifted $2, Shorts: thrifted $3, Booties: thrifted $8, Tights: gift

Check back later.
I might have more photo shoots in other rooms of my house ;)

Owl Pillow.

I don't have time to post about my outfit today.
I'm quite the little busy bee.
I have work soon, then I'm making a skirt for my friend, and then I'm spending the night with Tanner's Family :)
BUT, I made a pillow case last night and I want to show you guys because I'm in love with it.
I know it kind of looks like a penguin, but it's suppose to be an owl...
I forgot to add buttons for the tummy... Maybe I'll add that later.
I got the idea from this post from the AMAZING Jessica from Running with Scissors.
Seriously, check out her blog. Her sewing skills blow my mind.
I seem to be obsessed with zippers and bows these days.
Annnnd, that's where I sleep...
But doesn't it look cute on my bed!?

EEEEEEKKKK!!!! I love my new pillow :)

February 21, 2011

Let's chat for a sec.

Sweater: thrifted $5, Shirt: thrifted $4, Jeans: Ross $9, Shoes: Target $20, Socks: Walmart, Headband: Wetseal $2

You ready for some Q&A?
I asked a couple posts ago if you guys wanted to know anything about me.
I got three questions, so here you go my friends :)

1. What's one piece of clothing you could not live without?
Ahhh, this one is tough! If we're talking shoes cowboy boots, if we're talking actual clothing, I'd probably have to say a white v-neck. You can wear it with anything! Dress it up, dress it down, even wear it to bed ;) It's a key piece in my wardrobe.

2. What's your favorite flavor of ice cream?
Cheesecake Fantasy, extra strawberries, no blueberries from Cold Stone. Definitely going there tonight with my dad to get some :)

3.If you could spend the day with one famous person (dead or alive), who would you choose?
JAKE GYLLENHAAL!!!!! AHHH, I love him. Let's just look at him for a moment shall we?

Polka Dot Dream.

Jacket: Papaya $15, Dress(worn as a shirt): thrifted $2, Skirt: thrifted $5, Belt & Tights: mom's closet, Shoes: thrifted $8, Headband: made by me

I scored on that polka dot dream up there.
It was originally $5 but there was a rip in the seam and I asked the nice man working the register if I could get a discount since it was damaged.
I was expecting a $1 off, but he took $3 off!
I'm going to say that my good looks forced him into giving me a discount...
I kid, I kid ;)
I even left the shoulder pads in. I secretly love the 80's and shoulda pads.. Just not the huge ones that make you look like you have man shoulders. But sometimes and only sometimes the right amount of shoulda pad is okay :)

I might be a little bit vain.

Dress: thrifted, $4
Sweater: thrifted, $6
Belt: thrifted, $1
Socks & Tights: Forever 21
Boots: Target, $13

I told you guys yesterday that I was going to get my hair trimmed. Well, that trim turned into 2 inches of my hair being cut off :/ My long locks are gone!! I had dead ends so they needed to be chopped off. My hair hasn't been this short in years. Can you even tell? Because I can and it makes me sad. I'm a little bit vain when it comes to my hair. I just really like my hair. Everyone has something they love about themselves, right? Like your hips or shoulders or eyebrows.. right? Or am I the only one that's in love with her hair?

Oh well. Hair grows.
Hair does not make you who you are.
I'll have to keep telling myself that ;)

Also, I've been thinking...
Do you guys want to know more about me?
You just found out I'm vain and I love my hair.
Any other deets you wanna know?

Pink Zipper.

This outfit looks better in person, I promise.
Shirt: thrifted, $3
Sweater: thrifted, $5
Skirt: made by me, fabric: thrifted, $1
Tights & Socks: Forever 21
Boots: Target, $13

I made this skirt the first night Tanner left.
I'm trying to keep myself as busy as possible and honestly, it hasn't been that bad.
I know that he is doing a good thing and I think for that reason, it has put me at peace. As much as I miss him, I know he's doing the right thing and it's what's best for him.

Oh, and I'm taking Ashley's from i believe in unicorns rules for the 30x30, I made something, so I can wear it :)

I'm getting my huuuurr done today! (by hurrr I mean hair ;)
Actually, it's just a trim, so don't get too excited.

 Tights: Walmart, $5
Shoes: gift
Necklace: gift

Can we chat for a sec?
It's about this 30/30 thaaang.
I'm already bored with it.
And I haven't even worn half the items I put into it.
So, I was thinking... I could take out some items and put some new ones in. Of course I would keep the ones I've worn in and take out some of the items I haven't worn yet. You guys it's hard making up outfits right now and I'm only on day 10. See my point? I'm a big cheater I guess, but if I want to continue on with this challenge I might need to rearrange some items.
Ya dig?

February 9, 2011

Went swingin' with my niece yesterday.
Dress: thrfited, $4
Sweater: thrifted,$4
Belt: thrifted, $1
Tights: Christmas gift
Boots: Target, $13

Isn't she the cutest?

Oh and yesterday I got a question as to why I was at school and now I'm not.
I go to BYU-Idaho but I'm off track right now. BYU-Idaho is on a three track semester rotation. The semesters are Fall, Winter, Spring. When you go to BYU-I, you only go for two semesters. My track as they call it is Fall/Spring, so I am home right now during the winter and I will return to school in April. Hope that clears up any questions :)

February 6, 2011
