Be Brave. Stay Positive.

Welp. Sorry I haven't been around much. This is my fifth semester in a row. I had the seven week break to rest, but now I'm back in the game of managing time. With school and work I've found myself throwing things aside that maybe aren't as important. That definitely includes this little blog of mine. As much as I love blogging and clothes, it's going to have to come second. My classes this semester are really, really hard. I stayed up until 1 am and woke up at 4 am two nights this week to finish projects. It's exhausting. But it's okay. Because I know these classes are going to help me become the designer I dream of being.

My whole life I've been too nervous and scared to do what I want to do. A lot of the reasons are really personal and some really silly. But I've come up with a motto this semester that I will be living by---Be Brave. Stay Positive.

I struggle with taking risks. I never think that I have the ability to develop my dreams. I coward behind fear and let others succeed before me. But I'm changing this. I will be brave. I will take chances. I'll make mistakes. I'll change my attitude. I am able. I am capable. I am talented. What a rush it is to say all of that and finally believe it. I can be successful. I can and I will. Things can be hard and challenging and that is where staying positive comes into play. I am the master of my emotions. I can either decide to be negative or look for the positive in everything.

Be Brave. Stay Positive.

  1. I struggle with the same thing. A lot of people told me before I got married I was limiting myself, however, I have found since getting married I am much more sure of myself and I have another person to cheer me on when I want to do something. My husband keeps me encouraged over anything. I'm sure you feel the same way :)

    Great motto!

  2. I dig it. I feel the same way with blogging lately. It's just not as important as getting homework done or spending time with loved ones. Good luck this semester :)

  3. I also like the motto "I can do hard things." It's amazing how refocusing your MIND as much as we refocus our bodies {with sleep} can give you a clearer goal and purpose in life.

best of luck in your classes- you've got this girl!!

  6. This is actually one of the things that I've struggled with as well. I discovered that I've been going around expecting people to not like me and not accept me for who I am, which automatically screws all relationships. It's been a goal of mine to be comfortable in my own skin and not scared of taking chances. We can work on this together. :)

  7. Such a great motto. It is good to push past your comfort zone every now and then... who knows where it could lead...
