Just a little fun fact for you guys, I get embarrassed reallllllly easily.
Even around family and friends that I'm comfortable with and love.
Even with my blog, I don't tell anyone about it.
I told my parents but I didn't even tell my sibs, my sister Christie fell upon it one day.
I usually just set my camera on my garbage can, use self timer, and take my pictures by myself because I'm embarrassed to ask someone to.
Well, today, my dad demanded that he take my pictures.
He said:"Let me take your pictures, sometimes they look squishy."
Squishy? I don't even know how to respond to that.
This is me, being embarrassed out of my mind:
These are real people.
They got a little better towards the end.
Skirt(worn as a dress): thrifted $5, Sweater: thrifted $5, Shoes: thrifted $6, Tights: Target, Belt: thrifted $1
I just can't help but laugh at all of these photos.
So awkward.
But none the less, I love my dad to death.
He's the best.
Even if he says I look "squishy."
Haha I love these pics! Your dress/skirt is FAB!
ReplyDeleteI totally know what you mean getting embarrassed. I didn't tell people about my blog for a really long time. Then I finally got the courage.

that's too cute! :) I love that you used that skirt as a dress. I'm going to have to try that sometime.
ReplyDeleteThat is adorable. How cute is your Dad?? Family is the best. It was my sister that convinced me to "go public" with my blog on my facebook. Before that only my immediate family knew...and the lovely people of the blog world.
ReplyDeleteJust found your blog thru that feature and I love your style :)
AMAZING dress. And i am still awkward when it comes to photographing too! I am SO quick with my tripod, cause lets be honest. If I saw a girl in heels and a skirt hiking through the park with a tripod, I would think she is a little weird myself. But these pics are adorable!
ReplyDeleteooooh that colour combination is great :) Yeah, I get embarassed too about this kind of stuff. I'd probably only be comfortable being photographed for this kind of thing by my best friend who gets it, or by no one at all! Hehe
ReplyDeleteso funny! these are totally the faces i would have if my dad took mine. i don't tell anyone about my blog either :)
ReplyDeletelove it! I havent told my family about my blog yet or my boyfriend. I use a tripod and a timer to take my pictures haha. I would get nervous to have my mom take my pictures

I for real had the same problem today. I was doing my first outfit post ever and my sister kept laughing at me, and making comments about how i looked so unnatural. I like the self timer idea! I was thinkin the same thing! :)
ReplyDeleteLove your blog by the way!

ReplyDeleteThat dress is amazing, I love the Chevron print! And dads can be so cute sometimes.
ReplyDeleteYou are too cute! And I LOVE that skirt/dress. I'm totally going to have to try that.

ReplyDeleteLove your dress/skirt.I was totally like this when I started my blog. one, I didn't really tell people I had a fashion blog because I was embarrassed and two, I didn't really like talking outfit pictures because I didn't know how to pose/ I still don't really know how to. haha. You're pictures are adorable and I love your hair.

You are so freaking adorable! I'm so glad I found your blog from Kristine's! You have such cute style and to die for hair, just sayin.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to catch up on all your previous posts!
Annnd it is definitely awkward when people you know read your blog, I can't get over visiting my parents and hearing them talk about my latest post. Weird, but good:)
You're adorable. And I totally understand... I am embarrassed easily as well. I hate getting my picture taken in front of an audience, which happens way too much!
ReplyDeleteSo glad I saw your blog on Kristine's - you are so cute, great style :)
ReplyDeleteThat is so funny! I've never thought they look squishy :) I love the pattern of the skirt/dress!!

Hahahah! That's so funny -- I get the same way! Erin had told some of our co-workers about our blog. So when I came into work and they mentioned it, I got super embarrassed. And even when our close friends talk about it, I get super awkward. x)
ReplyDeleteBut hey! These photos turned out great! :D Your dad is quite the photographer. :) And I love the pattern on your dress (it's so FUN!!) and the shoes. :D

Stumbled upon your blog the other day. You have the cutest style!! I love seeing your outfits.
ReplyDeleteI love the skirt/dress. I lack that kind of creativity. Thanks for sharing. :)
ReplyDeleteYou look adorable when you are embarrassed! Love your look today with all the color and I think your dad did a smashing job so give him a high five for me!
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Bre
1. Love the zig zag dress. And the fact that you paired it with purple tights.
ReplyDelete2. Your hair is amazing. It's the equivalent of a Gisele Bundchen phenomenon as far as hair goes.
3. Taking photos of yourself to post on the internet is a bizarre and awkward concept, but you look great!
Dear Katherine,
ReplyDeleteYou are adorable, and have crazy cute style. I am currently insanely jealous of your incredibly dreamy chevron dress/skirt. I was still dressing from Hollister when I was 19. :( Can we be friends?
PS I forgot to say I love your hair.
ReplyDeletegirl you are so cute! I love all the colors of this outfit. and how clever to wear a skirt as a dress! Thrift shopping is my favorite, I wish we could go shopping together. :)

HAHAHA!!! That is hilarious. I do the exact same thing. I ALMOST showed my family my blog once, but then I decided that it would be wayyy to awkward. Hahah I'm mormon too and I had no idea that there was a whole blogging community!!! Sweet! Anyways, I feel ya girl.
ReplyDeleteModeling is way to awkward to do in public.
Check out my blog though. I want to be part of the mormon blog community!
