I whip my hair back and forth...

I've been asked a couple times how I do my hair.
Today ladies; I will show you the magic.
Just FYI this may not work for everyone.
The people with curly/wavy hair might be in luck though.
Or I might just be the only person who can whip her curly afro back and forth.
I didn't make a video of how I do my hair, I just took pictures.
I have a mouse voice and I don't want to make you guys suffer through watching me talk.
So, you ready to see how I do my hair?

Step 1: A little towel dry wet hair.
Wanna know something kinda weird? I NEVER brush my hair. Ever.
You can if you want to though. I just feel like it takes away the curl if I do brush my hair.
Step 2: The Supplies
The hair dryer I use is a Conair, from Walmart and it was around $20.
My gel also comes from Walmart and it's cheap.
If you want to use nicer gel you can. This gel works well for my hair, but it might not what works best for you.
Step 3: Use three nickel sized amount of gel and work through hair.
Step 4: The Drying
It usually takes about 10 minutes to dry my hair. I dry it upside down first and then I go through on top until my hair is dry.
Step 5: Curly/Wavy hair is complete!
My hair can sometimes get frizzy so I use this sunsilk cream to calm it down a little bit.

There you have it!
I hope that this tutorial will help some of you :)

Let me know if it works for you guys! I would love to see if this works on anyone else!

  1. I NEVER brush my hair either, only if I straighten it. I let mine just airdry cuz I get MAYJOR afro if I defuse it.
    Good tips though!!

  2. Love it! I had a similar routine when I used to have long hair, however, it never came out quite as curly as yours. Perhaps it is the not brushing that does the trick!

  3. You are too cute!! When I want my hair to be curly I do the same things except I use mousse, but since my hair is short and never grows I never leave it down when I do it curly like this because it seriously looks like a afro. Now yours is just darn cute!!

  4. oh my gosh...soulmates? my hair routine is the same except that i don't use a defuser; i just let it air dry. but i start with it wet, USE THAT EXACT GEL and finish it off with THAT EXACT FRIZZ CREAM. sorry, i'm just in awe. i thought i was the only one who spent/did next to nothing on my hair.

  6. Looks like you and I have similar hair routines AND hair types. I didn't bother with blow-dryers for years, but using one with a diffuser made me a believer. I'll have to give the de-frizzing stuff a try! And if I may, I'd recommend using some leave-in conditioner (the Tresemme brand is what I use) in place of the gel sometimes. I just like how it makes my hair feel nourished and soft.
